What is CryptShare and what does it do?
CryptShare allows you to share files across the internet without having to email them or post them on to an FTP server. All files shared are encrypted using AES 256bit to military grade standards.
Why do I need CryptShare?
Many reasons, but the main ones are:
* Many companies have policies in place to limit the size of files which can be sent or received by email.
* Email must be archived - so sending / receiving large files increases mailbox and message store size, and generaly places more load on systems.
* Email is very difficult to secure mailbox-to-mailbox - anyone can take a copy of or read email.
* FTP is hard to manage for IT departments, and hard to use by non-technical staff.
* Proof of delivery - email a file and you have no actual confirmation it has been received. Use CryptShare and you can prove the recipient downloaded it.
How does CryptShare provide compliance?
By providing encryption, access control, and an extensive audit trail of sending/receiving activities for the secure file transfer process, CryptShare provides a platform for an organisation to create compliant processes to meet various Government and Industry compliance requirements.
What Software needs to be installed ?
CryptShare is delivered as a pre-configured, auto-updating VMware Virtual Appliance, on your own hardware under various Linux based operating systems, or on Windows 2003/2008 IIS.
What encryption does it use?
File transfer via CryptShare from the sender to the CryptShare server and from the server to the recipient is encrypted via 256 bit SSL. Files on the CryptShare server are encrypted with an AES algorithm, 256 bit, CBC (Cypher Block Chaining).
What OS does CryptShare run on?
